  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 1/4 cup icing sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warmed milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out dough, spread apple pie filling, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Roll up dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Mix icing sugar and milk to create glaze. Drizzle over cooled rolls.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chopped nuts to the filling.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and frozen.
