- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup apple pie filling
- 1/4 cup icing sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk for glaze
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warmed milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out dough, spread apple pie filling, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Roll up dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix icing sugar and milk to create glaze. Drizzle over cooled rolls.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped nuts to the filling.
- These rolls can be made ahead and frozen.
