  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle yeast on top. Let it sit until foamy.
  2. In a mixer, mix melted butter, eggs, and salt. Add yeast mixture once foamy.
  3. Gradually add flour mixed with spices, kneading until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Roll dough out, spread with brown sugar and spices, and roll into a log.
  6. Cut into equal pieces and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise again.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
