Cheddar and Ham Macaroni Bake

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and stir in flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni and diced ham to the cheese sauce, mix thoroughly.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.
