- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk for frosting
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add the yeast mixture, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Roll up the dough tightly and slice it into 12 rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- For the frosting, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over rolls.
