Nutella Banana Swirl Muffins

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla to the mashed bananas, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring just until combined.
  6. Divide half of the batter among the muffin cups.
  7. Drop a spoonful of Nutella on top of the batter in each cup, followed by the remaining batter.
  8. Use a toothpick to swirl the Nutella into the batter.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Make sure the bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
  • You can substitute half of the Nutella with peanut butter for a different twist.
