Pretzel Chicken with Mustard-Cheddar Sauce

A delicious recipe for pretzel-coated chicken served with a tangy mustard-cheddar sauce.

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts
  • 2 cups pretzel crumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix pretzel crumbs and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Dredge chicken breasts in flour, dip in whisked eggs, then coat with the pretzel and cheese mixture.
  4. Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet and drizzle olive oil on top.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
  6. For the sauce, mix Dijon mustard with milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Add in shredded cheddar and stir until melted and smooth.
  8. Serve the baked chicken with the mustard-cheddar sauce on top.

Notes

  • Make sure the chicken is fully cooked by checking the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Feel free to add herbs or spices to the pretzel coating for extra flavor.
